Hello!

I'm Michaella, owner, designer, creator and decorator behind Florella.

My passion for working with flowers stemmed from my baking. I always loved the cake orders that required fresh flowers and the excitement of having an excuse to buy pretty flowers and arrange them on a cake, awoke within me, a deep love for floral design.

After moving to Vietnam, I began looking for an outlet for my creativity. I found work with a local florist who taught me to arrange flowers for her small gifting business. My love for floral design grew rapidly, I couldn’t believe it had taken me so many years to figure out that THIS was my thing. I spent many days exploring Ho Chi Minh City’s flower markets, buying tropical flowers and practicing floral arrangements in our apartment. Since returning to South Africa, I have continued pursuing my passion of floral design and floral arranging. Working with flowers makes my heart happiest and sharing flowers with others who love and appreciate them as much as I do is the most fulfilling part. I feel truly lucky to be able to work with something so naturally beautiful.
